Treatment overview

Platelet rich plasma (PRP) is a treatment designed for demanding patients who value products of natural origin, but also suffering from various allergies.

PRP is an autologous preparation of platelet rich plasma, obtained from the patient’s own blood. Active thrombocytes contained in the plasma produce a skin factor important to cell regeneration, which, among others, stimulates multiplication and maturing of epidermis cells, stimulates extracellular matrix synthesis, activates microcirculation, stimulates DNA synthesis and induces fibroblasts to produce collagen.

As a result, your skin regains:

  • youth and vitality
  • density and tension
  • improved texture and colour
  • regeneration and proper nutrition

Is this a painful treatment?

The treatment is slightly painful. As in the case of classic mesotherapy, the patient feels needle pricks.

When does the effect appear and how long does it last?

First treatment effects are visible after two weeks. Tissue reconstruction begins already 48 hours after the first treatment. Improved tension, elasticity, skin density, reconstruction of collagen fibres and filling of minor wrinkles is achieved after three treatments in the following scheme: 0-1-6 months. As soon as after two treatments, considerable thickening of hair and improved hair condition is visible.

Therapy schedule

The treatment is relatively quick and easy, performed by a doctor specialising in dermatology. Phase one involves drawing a small quantity of blood using the vacuum method. After whirling, platelet containing plasma is obtained. After thickening and adding a special reagent, app. 4ml of platelet rich plasma is obtained.

Contraindications and adverse effects

As all components obtained in PRP are autologous, the risk of local immunological reaction, intolerance or allergy is excluded. Contraindications include:

  • blood diseases
  • neoplasms
